Kill the bill Swindon

A crowd of around fifty people today gathered outside Regent Circus in action against the governments bill on the right to protest, With some carry placards and banners.

With protests happening over most parts of the country including Bristol where recent clashes with police at night after the peaceful protests. Other parts of the country including London Reading and now Swindon.

Swindon and Wiltshire police where asking people not to attend the protest. Under new laws which came into affect March 29th peaceful protests can go a head. However they are not allowed if organisers have not made contact with the police to ensure everyone's safety is not put at risk. This includes campaigners wearing masks and socially distancing though the event. While officers monitored the event with the help of street marshals for any anti social behaviour which was attended by some wearing masks.

As the protesters communicated well with the police the protest marched down commercial road and back up chanting "kill the bill" no arrests where made.
